Don Wagner On Petition Fraud: I Will Make Sure It Is Prosecuted To The Fullest Extent Of The Law

Orange County, CA -- Earlier this week a shocking scandal caught the eyes of political insiders across the spectrum when a video surfaced of a group of individuals paying $5 per signature to people on the streets to qualify petitions. Worse yet, the video appeared to show the organizers telling individuals to use other voter names when signing.

You can watch the story HERE.

In response Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner made the following statement:

“It is no wonder voters are losing faith in our elections. This shocking and disturbing video is just another example of bad actors trying to undermine the process and despite the Secretary of State’s office saying they will investigate this blatant criminal activity I have no faith that will happen. I expect swift action. We know where this crime took place and the individuals in the video can be seen clear as day. Justice delayed is justice denied. When I’m Secretary of State, I will make sure any and all fraud of our elections will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This is exactly why we need a voter id law in this state. We have to protect the integrity of our elections.”
